Types of Reviews


This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.


At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.

This review was a "Telephone Submission". Often after work is completed we conduct a telephone survey to ensure complete satisfaction with the work we did. With permission, Comments from these calls are transcribed and displayed on our website.

We liked the 'call anytime' feature. The technician, Russ, was here at the time promised. He was very professional and didn't try to sell us anything that was not required. After fixing the spring, he put in new rollers and then gave us helpful hints to the maintenance of the door. We were impressed with professionalism. The tech Stefan was excellent. The service I received from the tech was also excellent.

My window was from 9 to 11 and I the service tech did not show up till 1pm so this was a bit inconvenient. They had to switch service techs since the original had a death in the family that same morning. This is an understandable excuse. My only complaint was that I was not notified until I called the company at 11:30 am to find out where the tech was.

Russ Cross did a great job! Very friendly and knowlegeable. However when I called for appointment and asked for a ball park estimate I was told between $179-$259 for two springs and labor. Russ quoted me $415, plus another $144 for rollers. I was not happy with the difference in ball park quote range and Russ's quote. That is not a good business practice. Russ was great, did a great job!

Jim - thanks for your feedback. Your door is a Taylor Encore and it is heavier than the standard door therefore requiring a bit heavier springs along with a new center bearing. While performing the 25-point safety inspection onsite, he also determined that your rollers were worn out and required replacement. I do apologize for any confusion and am sure that your door will be in great working order for a long time.

Our technician (Stefan) was excellent and checked everything. He let us know the condition of the exisiting set-up (garage door) and what areas needed correction.

He gave his best recommendation and let us make the decision we felt was approrpiate for our budget.

After the repairs were completed, the doors worked perfectly.

Last year I had Precision install a new garage door at my home. The service and quality of the work was incredible. This year my garage door opener would not function correctly so there was no question as to who I would call. No company but Precision came to mind. Overcharged me on the job. $200 for 1/2 hours work with my help and with no new parts used. I felt trapped to use them after the $75 service charge even though it was applied to the repair I still paid $200. The repair shouldn't have been more than $100. He recommended overhauling your garage door by installing all new springs, rollers, etc. Because you opted not to go with the recommendation, Steve rewound your springs in order to make your door operational. Typically, we are hesitant to rewind springs as we run the risk of the spring breaking during the process. This can cause serious injuries as well as additional unanticipated costs to our customers.
